Ovata Group was founded to serve a specific kind of client: the internationally mobile family, the cross-border entrepreneur, and the family-office principal for whom residence and citizenship are not transactions but long-horizon decisions. The firm operates as a senior advisory practice — principal-led mandates, named counsel in each relevant jurisdiction, and a deliberate refusal to run volume.

The practice has served hundreds of clients via its subsidiaries and team of experts across more than a dozen residence and citizenship programmes worldwide. The work spans private clients, sovereign government advisory, professional channel partners, and the capital and corporate structures through which clients hold their international interests.

The firm's posture is institutional but the engagement model is personal. Every mandate has one principal, one number, and one continuous point of accountability. The aim is advice the principal can act on, on a timeline they can defend, with a counterparty they can speak with directly.

We are not aligned to any developer, fund or government. Our recommendation is the one that fits the family and the capital — nothing else. Where Ovata cannot or should not act, we say so, and where possible we point principals towards a firm that can.

Every engagement is structured to account for tax, trust, immigration, regulatory and reputational dimensions in parallel — not sequentially. Named counsel in each relevant jurisdiction is engaged from the outset, not bolted on at the end.

Every engagement has a single named principal as the point of accountability. When the principal calls, they reach the person who knows their file. There is no relationship-manager rotation, no offshore service desk.

The firm's principal office. Private-client and family-office practice, Asia-Pacific channel-partner relationships, and the head of government advisory all sit out of Singapore.

Kuala Lumpur

Regional capability for the Malaysian (MM2H, PVIP) and broader Southeast Asian residence programmes, and a base for the firm's growing institutional-investor work.

Every Ovata mandate is led by a senior principal. The firm's leadership is small by design — we do not run volume, and we do not delegate the principal relationship.

Founding Principal

The firm's founder leads the private-client and government-advisory practices, and is the primary point of accountability for the largest mandates. Background in international finance, structured advisory, and cross-border investment.

Principal — Family Office & Channel

Leads the confidential family-office channel and the relationships with the private banks, multi-family offices and law firms through which a significant portion of Ovata's mandates originate.

Principal — Operations & Counsel

Heads case management and the named-counsel network across jurisdictions. Responsible for the firm's standards of execution and the quality of every applicant file Ovata submits.
